On November 20/22th: Sports and food.

We’ve improved our vocabulary on sports talking about our favourite sportsmen and women. Then, we’ve started working on the topic of food: we’ve written our ideal shopping list for a week and played Quizlet live with food words.

We’ve finished our posters about invented sports and we’ve shared them with the rest of the class. Then, we’ve played online to check our improvements on the new vocabulary.

We’ve learned some vocabulary and expressions related to sports. We’ve worked with dialogues and flashcards and we’ve started a poster about an invented sport.
Hemos aprendido vocabulario y expresiones relacionadas con los deportes. Hemos trabajado con diálogos y tarjetas y hemos comenzado un póster sobre un deporte inventado.

Body parts and getting ready for Halloween.

We worked on the vocabulary related to the human body through a contest: each team, in turns, has to take a body part from a bag (you can’t see what you’re going to get), say its name and stick it on the blackboard building a full body. The team which is able to say more names is the winner.
We’ve also got ready for Halloween playing the quiz: which Halloween creature are you?

Trabajamos en el vocabulario relacionado con el cuerpo humano a través de un concurso: cada equipo, por turnos, tiene que tomar una parte del cuerpo de una bolsa (no se puede ver lo que se va a obtener), decir su nombre y pegarlo en la pizarra construyendo un cuerpo completo. El equipo que es capaz de decir más nombres es el ganador.
También tenemos listo para Halloween el juego en la plataforma Quiz: ¿Qué criatura de Halloween eres?

Daily routines and physical descriptions

We’ve talked about our daily routines and our “ideal” daily routines, reviewing the use of Present Simple, clock times and Frequency adverbs. We’ve also started to work on physical descriptions, playing the Who’s who game about urban tribes.

Hemos hablado sobre nuestras rutinas diarias y nuestras rutinas diarias “ideales”, revisando el uso del presente simple, los tiempos de reloj y los adverbios de Frecuencia. También hemos comenzado a trabajar en descripciones físicas y hemos jugado al ¿Quién es quién? con las tribus urbanas.
